French Dressing

Vegan French Dressing
French Dressing has always been my favorite. I love the sweet and tangy nature of it and I think it works on any salad. For some reason I just recently made my own recipe. This will keep for a while in the fridge thanks to the vinegar. I can't say how long exactly since it never lasts that long. This is gluten-free and easily made nut free with a simple substitution.

Makes about 10 - 12 oz of dressing
Prep time: 5 mins (not including cashew soaking if you need to do that)

Ingredients:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup raw cashews (soaked for 3 hours unless you have a high-power blender) (sub 3 oz of silken tofu to make this nut free)
3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp agave (or sugar)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder

Directions:
This is the easiest thing to make. Add all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Drizzle it on your salad and then store the rest in the fridge for your next salad frenzy.
